Second Largest CryptoPunk: Alien Punk #7804 Nets $16.42M

CryptoPunks NFT #7804—a rare Alien Punk—sold for $16.42 million (4,850 ETH) yesterday, becoming the collection's second-largest sale ever in both ETH and USD.

  • Punk #7804’s sale occurred during a week when Ethereum's price was down despite the crypto recently hitting its highest price in over two years.

  • This transaction comes after Alien Punk #3100 was sold for $16.03 million (4,500 ETH) on March 3.

  • The seller of Punk #7804, who bought it for $7.57 million (4,200 ETH) in 2021, shared their regret of not "elevating" the NFT's profile. Hence, the sale.👇

Runestone's Creative Force Revealed as Artist of Top NFTs

Last but not least, Runestones’ creator, Leonidas, reveals Francisco Alarcon, famed for Taproot Wizards, Quantum Cats, FLARES, Infinites, The Umwelt, and SOLIDS, as the collection’s notable artist.

  • After a major airdrop on March 14, distributing 112,383 tokens, Runestone rapidly became the largest project in the entire Bitcoin Ordinals ecosystem.

  • Adding to the collection’s significance, a Runestone was burned to Satoshi Nakamoto’s address.

  • Following the hype, the Ordinals project was showcased on a billboard in New York’s Time Square yesterday (no AI!).
